This book was conceived to preserve great old recipes from the generation that did not write anything down or memorialize them in any way. So, I have included many recipes that do not appeal to the mainstream but are worthy of preserving.
I also described my experiences growing up in families that were involved with food on every level, not only its procurement and preparation but also its origins in the “old country.”
One branch of the family hunted and made sausages and soppressata from their bounty. My father imported and sold oils and cheeses from Italy and France.
You can buy the cookbook online from Apple Books, or if you are in Baltimore, you can pick up a print copy at The Ivy Bookstore.
